Writing From the Heart

As a writer it's not about how much money I make, it is about the love of writing. Let's face it, writing, unless you're somebody who is well-known, is not going to make you rich, but won't it be sweet when it does?

I enjoy the craft of weaving a story that a reader might enjoy. There's something special about an idea that unfolds in the pages of a manuscript. Do writers have the entire story in their heads or do they follow their characters to see where they might lead them? Both approaches are valid, but it's good to be open-minded about the story that has been formulated in your head because once it's written down (or typed), take a moment, sit back, and think about the story as a whole -- it might make sense to the writer, but does it make sense to the reader? So edit, edit, edit and listen to what the characters are saying.

All of this to say that my books, painstakingly crafted over many years, are available through the Toronto Public Library system. Please consider putting a hold on one of my books. This costs you nothing and you don't have to make space for another book in your home. If you live outside of Toronto and it's not available, libraries are often amenable to order a copy for you and add it to their collection. Alternatively, if you prefer an on-line read, consider Biblioboard which is used specifically for indie writers and is accessible throughout North America.
